September 18, 2025 - Update
Hello U9 Families!
Below are the ice times/dates and locations for our upcoming evaluations. Evaluation groups are still being determined, final groups will be posted on the website on September 23rd. Please do no hesitate to reach out to our VP of U9 Shawn Wright at anything with questions or concerns!
- Friday Oct 3rd: 4pm - Arena, 5pm - Arena, 5pm - ECV, 6pm ECV
- Saturday Oct 4th - 8am, 9am, 10am and 11am all at ECV
- Sunday - 8am and 9am at Stadium (Games)
5pm - 6pm at Stadium (Games)
About SMHA U9 Division
U9 is a development program aimed at meeting these 4 outcomes:
- Have fun and be active
- Learn fundamental skills
- Refine those fundamental skills
- Cooperation and fair play
U9 Season Structure
Each team will have four ice times:
- Team Practice (weekly)
- Development practice (weekly)
- Game (weekly)
The U9 Program plays half-ice 4v4 games, with 12 full-ice games allowed after a date set by Hockey Nova Scotia, usually in February.
The exact schedules will be shared to families by Team Managers once teams are finalized.
