Seeking Expression of Interest for Director Positions and Division Coordinators

With our 2026-2027 SMHA Executive now in place, we are putting a call out for interest in our SMHA Board of Director positions. The Board oversees the day-to-day operations of the Association. It consists of the Executive plus the named Director positions listed below. The Director positions are one-year appointments and are made or renewed every season. Selections are based on a vote among the SMHA Executive, as well as interviews, if needed. It is in the spirit of the by-laws to post all Director positions, and welcome expressions of interest from both new and returning Board of Director candidates.

Directors must be in good standing with SMHA and must have one year of volunteer experience with either SMHA or another Minor Hockey association. All Directors must have a current Criminal Record Check as per the process provided by SMHA. As we have voted in three new positions at the AGM, the Board of Director position descriptions are currently being reviewed by our Executive and will be added to the website and linked here as soon as possible.

Please email Natalie Lafleche at secretary@flyershockey.ca to express your interest in any of the positions listed below. Please include a short message confirming that you meet the requirements, and why you think you would be suitable for the role.

Submission Deadline: 11:59pm, Friday, June 26th, 2026. The executive will vote and appoint each Board Position. If necessary, interviews will be held in early July (dates to be confirmed); however, a virtual option will be available.

The Director of Goaltending for the Sackville Minor Hockey Association is responsible for leading and supporting the development of goaltenders across all age divisions within the association. This role focuses on creating and implementing a structured goalie development program, organizing and delivering goalie-specific training sessions, and providing guidance and resources to coaches on how to effectively work with goaltenders during team practices. We look forward to implenting this new role for our 2026/2027 season!
