Good morning Flyers Families,

As we gear up for the last weekend of tryouts, we would like to remind you of a few things rolling into the new season.

• Competitive teams will be finalized by October 13^th.  
• Rec teams will be finalized quickly following the last balancing game for each division. Balancing games and ice schedules have been posted for this weekend. Please check your division page for updates. 
• This will be a quick turnaround to start the 2024/25 regular season, as almost all teams will have a practice during the first week. We are jumping right in, so be prepared!
• Final team rosters will be posted to the SMHA website under the “Tryouts & Evaluations” tab under your division. You will then be contacted by your team’s coach or manager to kick off our season!
• A “Week 1” at a glance schedule will be posted under the News tab of our Flyers website towards the end of this week. There will be team practices listed by arena and time in an excel format. Please check this ice schedule for your team as all coaches may not have the time to email their team before their first ice time.

Thank you to all of the Evaluators, Division Coordinators, Coaches, our SMHA Executive & Board, along with many more volunteers for their tireless hours dedicated in the rink or behind the scenes making our tryout and evaluation process a success! We couldn’t do it with out you!

We also want to say thank you to our VPs for everything they do to facilitate this process. Brad Aucoin, Dan MacDonald, Ryan Brewer and Matt Brown who have dedicated so much time and effort to their divisions over the last few weeks. We truly appreciate all your hard work!

Lastly, of course a big thank you to the players for all your hard work, and their families for getting them where they need to be. It takes a village and we at Sackville Minor have a great one!

We have yet another very full weekend for our players, coaches, and off-ice volunteers who are still in sessions as part of Sackville Flyers Competitive Tryouts!

Please note, all Competitive tryout divisions have at least one ice change coming up in their schedule. All pages have been updated with the new schedules.  Please keep checking back to your player's Division Page for updates.

With all Comp and Rec divisions still in tryouts and evaluations, we would like to ask that you please be patient as we do our best to get updates to the membership.

Sackville Minor Hockey Goalie Tryout Update

Goalies for Under 13 (AA/A/B), Under 15 and Under 18 have been assigned to the Forwards and Defense Session 1 Skills session to assist in the evaluating of the shooting skills of the players taking part in these sessions.

GOALIES WILL NOT BE EVALUATED DURING THIS SESSION AS THEY WILL BE EVALUATED DURING THEIR GOALIE SPECIFIC SESSION 1 AS WELL AS THE SCRIMMAGES.

Good Morning U9 Flyers Families,

Player groups and ice schedules for our first two evaluation sessions are now posted on the U9 Evaluation Page of our SMHA website. I would like to apologize for the delay in posting the player lists as I had originally intended to have these ready by Friday, Sept 20th. 

Player Groups will be shuffled following Session 2, and will be posted as soon as available to the same U9 page. Please check back regularly for updates. 

If you were unable to pick up your evaluation jersey yesterday, we will have jerseys available at the check in desk at your first group session.
